What to have ready when you call.
You don't need to have anything. But these help us give you a real read on the situation in the first call:
- The exact charges (from the complaint, citation, or what the officer said).
- Date of arrest or citation.
- Next court date, if you have one.
- Case or citation number.
- Whether anyone has tried to interview you, and whether you said anything.
- For DUI: whether you took a breath, blood, or urine test, and the date of arrest — the DMV deadline is 10 calendar days.
Confidentiality
Anything you tell us in a consultation is confidential, even if you don't end up hiring us. That doesn't change because you reached out by phone or web form.
